It cannot one-shot you during this stage, so try and damage it as much as possible by attacking the handles only, until it removes them. Scissors Tips and Strategy Do not attack the sheathįor the first phase, Scissors remains sheathed. Repeating this process twice will let you finish the Scissors off. The attack from the arms will deal a ton of damage. This is your chance to plot a course to the ON Panel and then the 1000-Fold Arms panel.
Once it is frozen, it will be unable to move or cut away any panels. On your next turn, set up a path to the ON Panel and the Ice Vellumental (Polar Bear), which will allow you to freeze it. On your way towards an action panel, you'll need to open a treasure chest, which will spread ON Panels and Magic Circles all over the board. You can attack the Scissors in this phase using hammers ( be sure not to jump attack), but the best method is to use Magic Circles to freeze it, then attack with the 1000-Fold Arms. Later on, the timing will change slightly, and it may pause right before cutting, so if you jump and there was no motion, get ready to jump a second time. You cannot block this attack, but you can jump over it to dodge it, so be sure and time your A button press just right. It will use the attack Final Cut on each turn, which will one-shot Mario if it connects.Get the treasure chests to add more panels back to the board. Scissors will use Cutting Board at the start of turns, which will remove several panels, such as arrows, x2 Damage panels, or Bonus attack panels.There are now two important things to note:
